A bridge between ancestral knowledge and the evolving story of contemporary Australia.
Uncle Mark Brown is a proud Bunurong and Gunditjmara Elder. Since 2001, he has worked in Aboriginal cultural heritage, dedicating more than two decades to protecting Country and carrying knowledge forward.
Through Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony, storytelling, Yidaki, cultural education and public speaking, Uncle Mark creates spaces where people can listen, learn and connect with respect.
Art has been part of his life from the moment he could hold a pencil. His practice moves across painting, drawing, digital art and mixed media, bringing cultural story into contemporary visual expression.
Ceremony, story and artwork keep culture strong and help people understand the Country beneath their feet.
